Packaging
Forests play a vital role in regulating our climate, purifying the air we breathe, and filtering the water we drink. Therefore, Reboco have actively chosen to use FSC® certified paper in all our packaging material. Forests managed in accordance with FSC rules help protect animal habitats, maintain biodiversity, preserve old-growth trees, avoid deforestation, safeguard indigenous rights, and ensure fair wages and a safe working environment for workers.
Our hangtags, envelopes and bags are all produced in FSC® certified paper. We have also chosen to attach our hangtags with a paper string made of recycled FSC. This makes it easier to recycle hangtag and string together.
Recycled Down
Down – an ancient, natural, and almost tireless material that can be used over and over again. It has been recycled at all times. Not so long ago, when the fabric of duvets and pillows was worn out, the down was taken out to be washed, it was then mixed with new down before new pillows and duvets were made. For years this way of reusing was forgotten. With today’s technology no new down is needed – you can make new products in 100 percent recycled down. We have given new life to the down and filled our duvet/blanket with 100% recycled down.
We use recycled down from the supplier Re:Down. 97% of the collected goods are recycled. Down and feathers which are damaged becomes organic fertilizers and the textile shells comes out as insulating material. And we make sure our products are filled with 100% recycled down.
Waste
Using our own waste material is a powerful strategy to minimize our environmental footprint. By repurposing or recycling materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, we can reduce the demand for new resources and decrease the amount of waste generated. Additionally, utilizing our own waste material can foster creativity and innovation, leading to unique and sustainable products. Embracing a circular economy model where waste is treated as a valuable resource is essential for building a more sustainable future.
Upcycled
Upcycling vintage textiles and clothes offers a creative and sustainable way to breathe new life into old and forgotten garments. By reimagining and repurposing vintage fabrics and clothing items, we can not only reduce waste but also celebrate the unique charm and history of these materials.

GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard
GOTS is the leading worldwide standard for organic textiles, covering both environmental and social criteria. GOTS certification ensures that textiles are made with organic fibers, free from harmful chemicals, and produced under fair labor conditions. It provides a comprehensive framework for sustainable and ethical textile production.
Oekotex Standard 100
Oeko-Tex is a certification system that tests textiles for harmful substances. It ensures that products are safe for human health and environmentally friendly. Oeko-Tex certification verifies that textiles meet strict criteria regarding chemical residues, promoting consumer confidence in the safety of textile products.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton farming avoids the use of harmful pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, promoting healthier soil and waterways. Additionally, it supports ethical labor practices and ensures safer working conditions for farmers. We humbly recognize our journey towards exclusively using 100% organic cotton as it aligns with our sustaiable goals. This is always our ambition as it aligns with our sustainable goals. Still, in some instances scaling up as a company it is difficult to achieve these objectives without over producing and we then need to look for other sustainable options.
We remain committed to continuously expanding our use of organic cotton as we grow, ensuring that sustainability remains at the forefront of our operations.
Garment Dyed
Unlike traditional fabric dyeing processes that occur before garments are assembled, garment dyeing involves coloring the finished garment. This approach significantly reduces water and energy consumption, as well as chemical usage, since only the final product is dyed, rather than entire rolls of fabric. Additionally, garment dyeing allows for smaller production runs and customization, reducing waste and overproduction.
Digital Print
Digital printing typically requires less water and chemicals compared to conventional printing processes like screen printing or rotary printing. It also produces minimal waste by using inkjet technology to apply designs directly onto fabric. Additionally, digital printing allows for on-demand production, meaning garments can be printed as needed, reducing overproduction and excess inventory.
